What We Do

Independence Day

Thejas Charitable Trust celebrated Independence Day on August 15th 2020 by hoisting the National Flag. Following the COVID protocol, a small gathering was held to celebrate the day. The Trust also took initiative to honor and felicitate an ex-army officer Mr.Manoj P.

The Inauguration

On 16th August 2020 the Trust was officially inaugurated by Dr. M. Muniraju, Dharmadhigari Ananthagiri Sri Siddhivinayaka Ayyappa Swami Temple, in the presence of Adv. Mento Issac, President Bengaluru Malayali Forum, C.P. Ravichandran BJP leader, Madhevamma, Kabballamma Temple Trustee and others. The trust also honored and provided prize money to students who secured highest marks in public exams.

Onam Kit Distribution

Onam is a traditional festival of Malayalees. The onam sadhya (feast) is one of the indispensable part of the festival, but in the wake of the pandemic all the rituals were limited in some of the households. Therefore, on 26th August 2020, the trust distributed  required grocery and other items necessary to make the onam feast.

Gandhi Jayanti

The trust celebrated Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October 2020, to bring an awareness among the young generation about Mahatma Gandhi – his life and teachings. We conducted a Quiz competition about Mahatma Gandhi. The top three winners procured Memento and Trust certificate as appreciation.

COVID-19 Relief Kit Distribution

Since, the COVID-19 pandemic continued the havoc in 2021, there were many households suffering to fill the stomach thrice a day. The trust decided to distribute necessary grocery and vegetable items to the needy people. The first round of distribution was completed on 26th May 2021.
